Hey,

As I wrote You in email. After first hours of use i think that You should add few features.
Im big uploader who post same stuff on plenty forums and editing each post on every boards takes too much time, thats why I've though about purchasing TM.
I'm TP user since poster black and i love this app but let's talk about TM now.

What do posters as me need.

1. First of all imagine that i've posted post X on 50 boards which contain same dead link.
I will be needing to edit this link in every post on all 50 forums.

2. Let's say that on FORUM1 i have 5 big threads and it would be nice if i would see which posts are posted in which thread. Right now i have all of them in one box. Next it would be cool if those posts could be sorted into working and dead posts. I won't edit only links in all dead posts but even whole posts with new same text message with one click.

3. Search/Filtering for all posts containing specific word/link not only in subjects/titles but in whole messages in all websites.

4. Export all dead posts from specific big thread from specific forum to txt file sorted by posting time.

5. in LINKS after right click 'search for this link in all forums.
If I will have any new ideas I'll reply.

Hi,

1. Please see the FAQ about replacing dead links: http://manager.freddy.lt/faq.php . You can replace the dead links from "LINKS" table. They are replaced automatically in all posts from all websites. You don't need to edit anything yourself.

2. You can already filter posts from the thread. There is a button above the posts list "Filter my posts from this topic". Just select a single post and press that button.

The posts with dead links are now shown with red background in upcoming 1.04.

3. Already in suggestions and probably will add.

4. Why would you need that? How would you use those posts? Just replace dead links from "LINKS" table.

5. Again, you can already replace dead links from "LINKS" table in all posts from all websites. There is no need to see those posts.

Maybe add some info on which forum(s) this exact link is dead.

Yea, I found that right now. But how with possibility to edit multiple posts at once with new text for all of them.

It's cool but maybe add that in preview of these posts we'll see which exact link is dead(also red background)

Code:

ok

Code:
4. Why would you need that? How would you use those posts? Just replace dead links from "LINKS" table.

Hmm, so maybe instead of replacing those links in LINKS TABLE manually add some possibility to add link database for example in txt file and TM will automatically exchange old link with new one from this db.

Code:

As in 1, maybe add some info on which forum(s) this exact link is dead.

It doesn't really matter. When replacing it will be replaced in all posts from all websites.

Use the "Replace text" feature which is written in FAQ. It replaces text in all posts from all websites at once.

Just click on "Check links" button in the "POSTS" tab and you will see which links are dead. You can even replace those links from that window in all posts from all forums.

Hmm, so maybe instead of replacing those links in LINKS TABLE manually add some possibility to add link database for example in txt file and TM will automatically exchange old link with new one from this db.

I can't really imagine how this would work. It can't just guess which link to replace with.

I can't really imagine how this would work. It can't just guess which link to replace with.

For example if we adding txt file with links it can have structure like this with separator "|"
http://not_working_file1.zip | http://working_file1.zip
http://not_working_file2.zip | http://working_file2.zip
http://not_working_file3.zip | http://working_file3.zip
and so on

or it can popup a window where on the left side i can add not working links and on the right working with the same structure
http://not_working_file1.zip http://working_file1.zip
http://not_working_file2.zip http://working_file2.zip
http://not_working_file3.zip http://working_file3.zip
it can be much more easier to replace dead links

if we have for example 2000 dead links, and i want to replace them i need in status-links click on "replace dead links mode" and there i need manually add one working link near not working, so if i want to change 2000 links i will have to do 2000 adding new link

Might add.

Yes, you need enter new link near the dead link now. It's still faster than editing all posts manually, since after you enter those links all edits (for all posts from all forums) are submitted automatically.

I can only replace specific text. What if multiple posts are completely different?

After clicking at 'Replace links mode' we can add new links but for example right now for me adding 1000+ new links one by one would take year. You could add some kind of automatic way to replace dead links with new ones from txt file or bu putting them in new window (for example button 'add links'). TM will find new link with same filename and replace it automatically instead of doing it manually.

Specific text can be whole post. You can enter any text (with new lines, doesn't matter). So you can replace whole post (the search is performed in all websites) if needed.

1.05:
* Added ability to load new links from .txt file in "STATUS" -> "LINKS" table when in "Replace links mode". File format should be: http://not_working_file1.zip | http://working_file1.zip [new line] etc.. The separator can be changed in "Options" -> "Links". Or it can try to match by filename in the URL.
